History of the Auster / Beagle Terrier 1
The Auster/Beagle Terrier 1 was a British military liaison and observation aircraft produced during the Second World War.
The air observation duties, counter-insurgency and casualty evacuation roles performed by Auster and similar light aircraft were generally taken over by light helicopters from the mid-1960s.

G-ACVS Auster/Beagle Terrier 1, holds historical significance and is currently awaiting restoration potential at the Ulster Aviation Society.
We'll see.

The hopeful future restoration of G-ACVS at the UAS could be an exciting endeavour, but only if it brough this type back to its former glory.
